Electrical and Battery Recycling

Electrical and Battery Recycling

Due to the Government regulations called Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) all battery and electrical equipment sold by Kleeneze will carry the wheelie bin symbol. Items carrying this symbol should not be disposed of in normal household waste.

The WEEE regulations are designed to reduce waste production and improve the environment. Kleeneze is part of the Valpak DTS recycling scheme. To find your nearest disposal site please ‘go to www.recycle-more.co.uk’ and use the Bank locator by entering your post code, or you can dispose of your WEEE goods in your local Civic Amenity site. Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also have collection points.

Under the Waste Battery Regulations,  Kleeneze are now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries. You can return your waste batteries to our distribution depot at Marlborough Mill, Ridgefield Street, Failsworth, M35 OHJ in person (PLEASE DO NOT POST).

Alternatively, you can find your local waste portable battery recycling facility at www.recyclenow.com.

Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points. End-users may find stores in their local area more accessible.
